Boston Strangler

Daniel over at Sorry State Records got 60 copies out of 750 of this uber anticipated LP. He brought 10 copies to the shop for local consumption. Allocating a portion of this release to my shop was a very nice gesture on Daniel’s part. We both realize the importance of a local connection for records and this reinforces the scene, business and exposure. Being able to say, with almost metaphysical certitude, that I was the only physical outlet on planet Earth to have this release to sell adds a very nice vibe. Nice to see this level of enthusiasm over a release even if the hype machine took over. Bovine excreta Discogs dealers listing the LP for $55 BEFORE they even had it is epic assholery. Yeah, your record, your money. Fuck you. In my shop, KIDS got these records and they are the ones that it matters too. They were in the shop when Daniel dropped them off. I did listen to it and it is a good, solid record.

I get to sell records to these young people.

    • Sorry no. The record was esentially a sellout before it was even pressed.

Daniel sold the 50 copies he had on the Sorry State Records website in 2 minutes. Seven copies that he brought me were sold when they came in the store. The other 3 lasted a day.

I’d really encourage a second pressing.

  1. This design is wicked! You certainly know how to keep a reader
entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own
blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really enjoyed what you had to say,
and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
